Glycolic acid

It belongs to a group of alpha-hydroxy acids. Glycolic acid has the smallest particle size among all AHA acids. This is why it has the highest level of absorption through the skin. The application of appropriate concentration affects the manner and intensity of its activity on the skin, which becomes better hydrated, softer, its condition and tone improved. Oily skin with expanded pores and post-acne scars becomes more delicate and the scars shallower. Multiple application of glycolic acid has a very favourable effect on the dermis, leading to increasing its thickness (as skin thins with age). After applying products containing glycolic acid at length (6 months or more) elasticity of the skin is improved and elastic fibres are regenerated. At the same time there is an increase in the production of collagen fibres, which leads to the reduction of wrinkles and a long-lasting improvement of biological and elastic properties of the skin.
